Church?
It’s probably easier than you think.
We know — church can feel intimidating, confusing, or unfamiliar. And yet, there’s often something about it that keeps tugging at us. We feel it. We believe it. We sense there’s something more.
We’re not perfect — far from it — and we don’t try to be. We’re simply a group of people gathering in a safe place to worship, learn, grow, and maybe — just maybe — discover that “thing” that feels missing.
When you arrive at Community Bible Church, you’ll be among people who need God’s forgiveness and grace just as much as anyone else. You’re invited to participate as little or as much as you want, in the way that feels right to you.
When we sing, some people stand and others sit. Some raise their hands, others don’t. Some say “Amen” or “Hallelujah” during the message — join in if that’s you. If not, that’s okay too.
We’re just glad you’re coming, and we hope you feel the presence of the Lord among us.
Community Bible Church of Georgetown and Weir, Texas is a place where people can meet Jesus, experience life-giving community, and know they are truly welcome.
We believe in creating space for authentic encounters with Christ — a place where people can find community with their neighbors, discover their God-given gifts, and use them for His glory. You’ll find people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences here, coming from a wide range of church and faith journeys.
No matter where you’re coming from, you’re welcome at CBC.
Great question.
We are a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church that seeks to live out what Scripture says. We are committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, sharing the authentic love of Jesus with anyone and everyone.
We are not affiliated with a denomination, but we gladly align with and support other churches and organizations that share our core beliefs.

Short answer: something. 🙂
Seriously — don’t stress about what to wear. We want your time with us to be relaxed and welcoming, and clothing shouldn’t be a concern.
When you walk through the doors, you’ll see everything from shorts and flip-flops to suits and dresses — and everything in between. The only thing everyone wears is a smile, and we can’t wait to see yours.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice the friendliness and warmth of the people around you. There will be smiling faces ready to help you find the coffee, the nursery, or anything else you need.
Help yourself to a cup of coffee, some water, or a juice box from the table to the left, and come on in. If you need a Bible, you’ll find them throughout the sanctuary — and feel free to keep it. That’s why they’re there. In fact, grab an extra one to give to a friend, classmate, coworker, or even a random stranger.
A typical service lasts about an hour (sometimes a little longer if Pastor Michael gets wound up — but trust us, the time flies). We usually sing a few hymns, maybe a contemporary song or two, spend time in prayer, and then hear God’s Word taught.
If you have questions at any point, just ask — that’s what we’re here for.
A note from Pastor Michael:
We want your kids in church.
Many churches offer a separate children’s church, but that isn’t our heart for you or your family. Church is meant to be a family experience. Worship is uniquely designed for generations to gather together — with one heart, one mind, and one expectation: to encounter the Almighty God.
We absolutely believe in age-specific Bible study, and that is available for your children. But the worship service offers something different. It’s where children learn what it means to “do church” and grow to love being part of a community following Jesus together.
So — children in church? Absolutely. Where else would we want them?
Children are a gift from God and a blessing to those around us. Bring them with you, relax, and enjoy your time here. We know kids wiggle, giggle, and sometimes get fidgety — and that’s completely okay with us.
Each Sunday, your child can pick up a pew activity pouch just inside the sanctuary doors. Please return these after the service. Encourage them to listen for key words, work on the puzzles, color, or simply observe. Trust me — they’re listening more than you think.
You might even consider sitting closer to the front where your child can see what’s happening. Let them sit or play on the floor in front of you — bring a blanket or play rug if that helps. Encourage them to stand, sit, say “Amen” or “Hallelujah,” or participate in their own way. The church belongs to them too.
And if your infant or child begins to cry, please don’t feel the need to leave. In fact, come closer. From the bottom of my heart, one of the sweetest sounds we can hear in church is the sound of a child. If you do need to step out, hurry back. Jesus wants the children here — and so do we.
If you need help at any point, just ask. There are many who would be glad to lend a hand.
— Pastor Michael
After Church
We hope you’ll hang around after the service.
You’ll notice that no one rushes out the door. People enjoy spending time together, visiting, and connecting — and we’d love for you to do the same. Pastor Michael is usually right in the mix and would love to meet you.
We’d love to get to know you, learn your name, and help you feel at home — not just this Sunday, but every time you come back.
